When hiring your wedding vendors, I know there are a lot of options! And besides our style & art, one of the TOP things that will set us all apart is our process. What is that like? It’s different for every vendor! I want you to feel at ease knowing what you can expect from working with me, so I created this blog post to deep dive into the process of working with me!
Initial Contact
The first step is for you to send me an inquiry. I respond to you within 24-48 business hours, and then we work together to find the form of communication that works best for you. If you are an email lover, we can keep the conversation going through email. Maybe you lean more towards having a conversation in real time and you would rather hop on a phone or video call? We can do that! If you’re anything like me and you Marco Polo with your BFF constantly, we can hang out there and chat about the details casually. Whatever makes you feel the most comfortable is the way I want to communicate with you!
Custom Packages
I create custom packages for all my clients to make sure your wedding video is exactly what you want. If you aren’t sure what you’re looking for yet, I can send you some sample packages and we can use those as a starting point to create something unique to you.
One of the things we will talk about is how many hours of coverage you will need on your wedding day. It’s important to me to be honest about what you ACTUALLY need instead of overselling you on things you don’t. My typical recommendation is that we book the same number of hours as you have booked for your photographer so I don’t miss a single moment once your day begins!
My goal is really to create the perfect package for YOU – the right amount of coverage, in your price range, and the perfect deliverables for you to enjoy after your wedding.
Leading Up to the Wedding
Now that we have the perfect custom package, we’ll work together in the months before your wedding to hammer out any remaining details. You can also expect a special something in the mail because giving gifts is my love language and getting mail is so fun!
Part of the process of working with me is that about a month before your wedding I’ll send you a detailed questionnaire that will confirm all the details of your day we have already talked about. The night before your wedding, I’ll send you a text just to confirm any details with you, make sure no addresses have changed, and give you peace of mind that I’ll be there at the time we talked about!
Process of Working with Me On The Actual Wedding Day
Your big day is here and I’m excited to capture all the little moments! I’ll get there about 15 minutes early to get my gear ready, capture some shots of your awesome venue, and have time to come say hi and get to know your bridal party while y’all are getting ready. Throughout the day, I am right there with you and your partner for your wedding, capturing all the moments and celebrating with y’all!
After Your Wedding Day
You had the most perfect wedding, you enjoyed the most romantic honeymoon and now you’re dying to relive the day with your wedding video. I’m busy behind the scenes editing all the footage to create your perfect wedding video. I’ll be in touch with you letting you know if I need anything from you and giving you updates about when you’ll be getting your film delivered. I know that the wait can feel like forever so I like to keep you updated throughout the editing process.
Delivery Day!
Finally! Your video is ready and I send over your wedding website so that you can share it with family and friends. You’ll also get links to download your films and once you have watched it once (or let’s be honest, maybe 100 times!), then I’ll make sure you and your partner are 100% THRILLED with your films and there are no edits you would like to be made. We will make any necessary edits and then you can watch your video any time you please to relive the best day ever over and over again!
