The tools in my equipment bag help me to capture the footage of your big day and create your one-of-a-kind film to look back on. Read on to find out what I keep with me as a wedding videographer when I come to shoot with you!
Cameras
My cameras are arguably one of the most important pieces of equipment I carry as a destination wedding videographer. My camera of choice is the Panasonic Lumix GH5 and I ALWAYS have a backup on me so I don’t miss a single moment. I love the internal stabilization it offers so that I can go handheld most of the day. I used to use gimbals or monopods for the full wedding day, and I found that the bigger gear was preventing me from capturing really important moments that happen so quickly. From Dad crying as he walks with the bride to the celebration of the couple after they walk down the aisle, I like to be able to move quickly and capture ALL the things!
Lenses and Harness
Lenses are, of course, an essential part of my kit. I carry 66mm, 24-70mm, and 70-200mm lenses with me. I keep my cameras and lenses on my camera harness (This is the one I LOVE!). Having different lenses on each camera on my harness allows me to switch back and forth between them for different shots without having to switch lenses. It’s all about the ease of capturing all of your important moments!
Lighting and Microphones
Lighting is an important part of getting the best shots! I use two external lights on light stands for the reception dance floor to add more depth to the shots and elevate the look of every wedding. We want to capture your killer dance moves in all their glory!
Part of being a Dallas wedding videographer is making sure all the audio from your ceremony is included! It’s so important to capture your memories that way! I use LAV mics for the ceremony to capture the vows and ceremony audio. I put one on the officiant and one on the groom to make sure we catch every word!
Filming Accessories
Your film will include a few good venue shots to set the scene of your film. I use my DJI drone to make sure we have the best view of your venue.
I ALWAYS have batteries, more batteries, and even more batteries. You can never have enough because I don’t want to miss a single second of your day!
I don’t just carry ALL the batteries, I also have ALL the SD cards. I want to make sure that all the footage from your wedding is saved safely so I can create your perfect film later.
The Extras
I have learned a trick or two after filming so many weddings. You will always find me with safety pins because someone ALWAYS needs one when they are getting ready. You will also find me with granola bars and my water bottle at all times so that I can be my best for capturing all your most special moments!
